The 34-year-old comic took to Twitter Weekend with lengthy message where she explains her method of comedy, writing: "I actually am not racist."
Although she didn't mention it straight, her commentary appears to be in response to an article published Weekend in the U.K.'s Guardian, which stated Schumer includes a "shockingly large blind spot around competition."
The piece, written by Monica Heisey,Air Max Günstig, called her MTV Movie Awards hosting stint "lackluster,articleMeghan Trainor has hemorrhage on her vocal cords - CBS News1," noting it "presented lazy jokes about Latina females being 'crazy' that left Jennifer Lopez as unimpressed as the online commentariat."
Now Schumer is definitely firing back,Nike Air Max, detailing in her Twitter post, "We am a comic. I am so happy more folks are laughing at me and with me all of a sudden. I will joke about points you like,articleCaitlyn Jenner kicks off blog series with first touching post - CBS News1, and I will joke about stuff you aren't more comfortable with... I go in and out of playing an irreverent idiot. That includes producing dumb jokes approximately race."
Schumer continued to state that she is not really going to chicken out and dull her edgy materials,Air Max. "I am not really going to start joking about secure material,Ugg Boots. And don't talk to that of me,Ugg Outlet. I really like what I really do and won't let anyone take that aside,Ray Ban UK. I request you to resist the urge to choose me apart,Ray Ban Clubmaster. Believe me. I am not really racist."
