A Valentine’s night Bar-B-Q went wrong, when a father of five lost his left eye, while playing the part of a peacemaker in the wake of the stabbing of a young boy.Kimal Khan, 32, of 171 Surat Drive, Triumph, East Coast Demerara, is currently recovering at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), after being the victim of a vicious stabbing on Saturday, last.The man, who is a miner, said that he was helping a friend at his Bar-B-Q in Good Hope, East Coast Demerara when the incident occurred. He alleged that between 11:30 and 12:00am, a young boy who would usually carry out errands on his behalf, came up to him covered in blood.He said that the boy informed him that a chubby, dark skinned man, who goes by the name “Mafia”, had stabbed him all over his hand. Khan explained that he knew Mafia, who is a taxi driver, from seeing him around, so he decided to get to the bottom of the matter.“I say let me go talk to Mafia, and find out how he could bore up a li’l youth man”, Khan explained.He recalled when he went to confront Mafia, a group of men and one woman surrounded him. He said that as soon as he began to talk, they started to pull cutlasses from under cars, in the bushes and on the bridge where they were standing.“They jus’ start firing chops. That was when one of dem broke a bottle and stabbed me right in my eye,Stitched NFL Jerseys, then Mafia brother come from behind and chap me on my neck”, Khan explained.The injured man said that he then began to run and sought shelter in a friend’s car that was nearby. He said that his friend drove him to GPHC, because he was losing a lot of blood.Khan, who is currently sporting multiple stitches to the left side of his neck, and might have suffered the loss of his left eye, told this newspaper that Mafia and his brother are responsible for his present condition.Khan has since reported the matter, and investigations are on-going.
