Parents who protested the poor state of Ann’s Grove Primary School on Monday, say that they will be protesting again tomorrow if there is no proper word or results from the relevant authorities on the condition of the school.Parents who opted for anonymity said that the disrespect by the Ministry of Education and the Regional authority has gone too far, and they are not willing to accept excuses.According to a source within the Ministry of Education, the issue with the Ann’s Grove Primary School is one that is supposed to be dealt with by the Ministry of Local Government and the Regional authority.Further, the Ministry is contending that the matter of the poor state of the school was never reported to the Ministry of Education.Repairs to schools and furniture are budgeted under the Ministry of Local Government,Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping, “generally when something happens in a school everyone would call on the Ministry of Education, but in this case that has to be done at the regional level. Some just fell off due to lack of repairs.Tronza Pellew, a teacher born and raised in Ann’s Grove, said that whenever it rains, the children would have to shift places.She said this is a major problem because the school is overcrowded and there is hardly space for the students to change position. She said the school could comfortably house a maximum of 300 students, but it currently has over 500 on roll.Parents said that they have repeatedly complained about the problems at the school and officials of the government would visit, but nothing is ever done.
