With Rodgers gone, Austyn Carta-Samuels is expected to start at quarterback. Carta-Samuels started against Presbyterian last season,K?nken Ryggs?ck, and he also started at Wyoming before transferring. Matthews said he has extreme confidence in Carta-Samuels.
