Persons were allowed the opportunity to take a tour of the ship which was bought from the Royal Navy in 2001. It was a converted minesweeper. The ship is fully equipped with all necessary safety and defensive equipment along with the “usual ship accessories”Beaton stated that though the exhibition was only for a day it is now expected to be hosted on an annual basis.Special invitees were students of selected secondary schools,Wholesale Jerseys China, University of Guyana Faculty of Technology and the Guyana Technical Institute.The commander noted that vacancies are available for all interested persons. Training would be provided; persons who are technically qualified are also encouraged to join the coast guard crew since the “opportunities are endless”.
