I don't see the wisdom in politicians boycotting the Vaisaki parade.
I agree with MLA Harry Bains that the political leaders should attend to celebrate the standard Moncler Singapore harvest festival with the vast majority of the Sikh people in attendance that happen to be peaceful.
I also feel that inside a democracy where there is free speech, free of charge thought, and freedom on the press people have a right to trust in what they want and communicate that as long as it is from the law.

Yes, there are politics and pictures involved. We think about it, wish we weren't Cheap Ugg Type Boots Uk required to deal with it, because it's never about politics, it's about community. I have two close friends who will for the first time put up a tent and offer food to other people. Both of them are born and raised in Canada and so are doing this volunteer work to provide the community. This volunteerism is a middle concept of Sikhism, called sewa. Early in this morning, they will put up a tent, family members will make a variety of foods, and along with their two young girls, who are the two under five years of age, they're going to spend a day serving friends and strangers.

I'd been very impressed to see 1000s of volunteers working hard to help organize your parade and providing drinks and food to the crowd. Even younger kids were enjoying the parade and participating in many cultural and religious activities. As far as the political leaders are concerned, the public participating in celebration didn't miss them in the least, and in fact don't want to see them making formal speeches in this type of religious and cultural event.
Most likely the organizers in future won't invite politicians for the parade as well as allow them to make speeches.
I wish to congratulate thousands of volunteers and organizers for making this Vaisakhi parade a huge success. Keep up the good work in future years.
