“We've explored that area before. It's a very difficult terrain, very rugged, with deep canyons, volcanoes, ridges and cliffs, so it can be misleading,” he added.
In a statement last month The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) recognizes Godfrey as a credible expert. He said he had searched for "significant parts" of the area he said. but the ruins were not found. It also asked a group of Australian geoscientists to review the search data. and confirmed that nothing interesting was found on that area
The Malaysian government said last month that If this new discovery proves to be reliable They will consider discussions with China and Australia to revive the search mission.
