Unlike most films, the group behind "Battle Space" didn't rely on Hollywood's typical means of advertising of expensive advertisements and glamorous premieres.
Instead, the filmmakers partnered having a network of influential pastors to promote a film with a decidedly Christian-based message -- a technique that's making it among the summer's biggest successes.
With a primarily African-American cast,Air Max Günstig, "War Room" tells the storyplot of an affluent couple whose marriage is in trouble until they discover the healing power of prayer.

It's a message filmmakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick believe the public had a need to hear.

Therefore we long for that. We just want to inform it from an optimistic vantage point," Alex Kendrick said.
That vantage stage is rooted in the audience itself. During production,Air Max Hombre, the filmmakers consulted using a network of influential pastors who encouraged parishioners to visit view it.

That grassroots promotion helped "Battle Room," having a budget of just $3 million, rake in almost four moments as much money on its starting weekend.
In one time, studio executives had been doubtful the film would be successful.
"They're astonished this worked,Billige Air Max," Alex Kendrick said. "That is working,Air Max, you understand, why is that? And so, I have no idea if they're scratching their heads or not really,Ray Ban Glasses, but I know that we are all celebrating and very grateful."
"War Room" is just the latest within a string of indie, Christian films to attain widespread achievement. Alex Kendrick's "Fireproof" was among the highest-grossing 3rd party movies of 2008.
Analysts say the relationship between church pastors and film companies has created a niche market Hollywood can no longer ignore.

"If filmmakers are willing to tell their stories authentically and stay true to concepts of their stories, that audience is going to arrive and reward them with their dollars," Range managing editor Kristin Wilder stated.
As for the Kendrick brothers, they state the film's achievement comes as no surprise.
"I believe there is a developing recognition that people need God,Ray Ban Sunglasses," Alex Kendrick stated. "And I believe when you shop around our culture and you find what we're dealing with and to some extent we are in need of an anchor."

To them, it's about getting that target audience and spreading a message of faith that mainstream movies have a tendency to ignore. |
